Sepulveda, von Trapp

STOWE, Vt. - Elisa Maya Sepulveda and Sam Edward von Trapp announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Mary Seppi and Jorge Sepulveda of Santiago, Chile, and Lynne and Johannes von Trapp of Stowe, Vt. von Trapp is the grandson of Stella Peterson of Marshall and the late Kenneth Peterson, M.D. The couple both hail from hotel and skiing backgrounds, Sepulveda from Portillo, Chile, and von Trapp from Stowe. Sepulveda is a graduate of the University of California Davis School of Landscape Architecture and managed her own landscape design and construction firm in Davis, Calif., for the past six years. von Trapp is a graduate of St. Paul's School and Dartmouth College and is vice president of the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. He also spent 12 years working in Aspen, Colo., and Portillo, Chile, as a ski instructor. The engagement took place in Monterey Bay, Calif., while floating in kayaks over a calm ocean among sea otters and dolphins. A spring wedding is being planned at the Trapp Family Lodge.
