REDWOOD FALLS - Funeral services for Keith Cocker, 87, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Marshall, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday from St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Marshall. Burial will be in the spring at Pilot Mound Cemetery in southeast Minnesota. Arrangements are being handled by the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Redwood Falls.

He died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at the Redwood Area Hospital.

Keith McKay Cocker, the son of Archie and Edna (McKay) Cocker, was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Winona County, Minn.

He grew up on a farm and attended country schools in Winona County. He served his country in the Army during World War II, stationed in Germany. After his discharge, Keith returned home and went to work for White Water State Park in their maintenance department. In the early 1970s, he transferred to Camden State Park at Lynd, Minn.

On Nov. 29, 1974, Keith was united in marriage to Betty (Ruberg) Andreen at Marshall. They made their home on the north side of Marshall and Keith continued his employment with Camden State Park until retiring. They attended St. Stephen Lutheran Church.

Keith loved the outdoors and spent many hours cutting wood and raising a really big garden. He loved to go for coffee and enjoyed his hobby of woodworking. Family and friends were very important to Keith. In October 2007 he had a stroke and moved to Redwood Falls, entering Wood Dale Nursing Home to be close to his wife, Betty.

Keith is survived by his wife, Betty Cocker of Redwood Falls; stepson, Phil Andreen and wife, Angie of Wadena; stepdaughters, Pam Boogaard of Marshall and Wendy Fox and special friend, Stan of Redwood Falls; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Archie in 1974 and his mother, Edna in 1991.

Blessed Be His Memory
