MARSHALL - Jeremy Paul Williamson, 21, of Marshall pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 19 to a charge of burglary in the second degree. Williamson smashed the door of a gas station and stole items Aug. 3 in Marshall, court records said. Williamson received a stay of imposition on a sentence and was placed on supervised probation for up to seven years. Williamson must serve 90 days in jail, pay a $500 fine, have a chemical use assessment and follow other conditions.
MARSHALL - Thomas William Kessel, 25, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on four counts of criminal sexual conduct in the fifth degree. On Sept. 9 and in August, Kessel performed a sexual act in front of two victims, 12 and 14, while in his car, the complaint alleges. A plea hearing was set for Oct. 22.
MARSHALL - Manuel Hernandez, 29, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 19 in a probation violation hearing. Hernandez violated his probation by failing to abide by a chemical use assessment, probation alleges. Hernandez said he does not want a public defender. A hearing was set for Oct. 3.
MARSHALL - Kimberly Sunbrean Harden, 39, of Marshall admitted in Lyon County District Court Sept. 19 violating her probation. Harden violated her probation by failing to pay her fine, fee and surcharge, failing to pay restitution, failing to attend a required class and failing to obey all laws, court records said. Harden was sentenced to one year in prison, the fine was waived and she must follow other conditions.
MARSHALL - Carlos Salazar, 27, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on charges of assault in the second and fifth degree, liability for crimes of another and disorderly conduct. Salazar and an accomplice threatened two victims with a baseball bat and Salazar called one victim threatening names on Sept. 7 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A motion from Salazar's lawyer Pam Neumann to reduce Salazar's bail was denied. An omnibus hearing was set for Oct. 8.
MARSHALL - Randy Scott VanOverbeke, 43, of Russell appeared in Lyon County District Monday on a charge of domestic assault by strangulation, two counts of domestic assault and a charge of interference with an emergency call. VanOverbeke strangled a victim, grabbed the victim by the hair, and made a fist as if to punch the victim and broke the phone when the victim attempted to call 911 on Sept. 6 in Russell, the complaint alleges. The court said VanOverbeke could leave the state for work. An omnibus hearing was set for Oct. 10.
MARSHALL - Juan Francisco Olvera, 24, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on charges of assault in the second and fifth degree, liability for crimes of another. Olvera and an accomplice threatened two victims with a weapon on Sept. 7 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Lyon County Assistant Attorney Tricia Zimmer filed papers. An omnibus hearing was set for Oct. 8.
MARSHALL - Jarrod Andrew Stewart, 18, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on a charge of theft. Stewart cashed a check with an inaccurate amount of about $7,600 on Sept. 5 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Stewart's lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano had filed papers. Lyon County Assistant Attorney Tricia Zimmer filed papers. An omnibus hearing was set for Oct. 10.
MARSHALL - Evin Orlando Reyes, 30, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on charges of aggravated forgery and forgery. Reyes used a forged Minnesota identification card to cash a check in Marshall on Sept. 6, the complaint alleges. Lyon County Attorney Rick Maes filed papers. Reyes' lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano had filed papers. A hearing was set for Oct. 8.
MARSHALL - Angelica Gutierrez Funes, 32, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday in a probation violation hearing. Funes denied violating probation. Funes violated probation by failing to complete 90 hours of Sentence to Serve, probation alleges. Cecil Naatz was appointed Funes' lawyer. A hearing was set for Oct. 3.
MARSHALL - Derek John Blomme, 21, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on a charge of assault in the second degree and two counts of assault in the fifth degree in one file and two counts assault in the second degree, liability for crimes of another in the second file. Blomme hit the victim in the head, face and knee and caused injury, and used a knife to threaten the victim Sept. 7 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Blomme and an accomplice threatened two victims with a weapon on Sept. 7 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Blomme said he'd contact lawyer Paul Stoneberg's office. Blomme was released on his own recognizance on the conditions he reappear in court, be of good behavior and follow other conditions. A Rule 8 hearing was set for Oct. 6.
MARSHALL - David Victor Decrock, 23, of Minneota appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on two counts of assault in the second degree. Decrock strangled a victim with a leather belt on July 29, the complaint alleges. Decrock's lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano had filed papers. Lyon County Assistant Attorney Tricia Zimmer filed papers. An omnibus hearing was set for Oct. 8.
MARSHALL - Edwin Israel Chilel Cash, 25, of Minneota appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on charges of forgery and aggravated forgery. Cash used a forged Minnesota identification card to cash a check on Sept. 6 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. Cash's lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano had filed papers and Lyon County Attorney Rick Maes filed. A plea hearing was set for Oct. 8.
MARSHALL - Lonny Doom Loke, 29, of Cottonwood admitted in Lyon County District Court Sept. 19 violating his probation. Loke violated his probation by failing to be law abiding and to abstain from alcohol. Loke was reinstated on probation on prior conditions. Loke must serve 30 days in jail, follow a chemical use assessment and complete in-patient treatment.
