Crime:
MARSHALL - A Marshall man, 25, was cited for driving after revocation and operating a vehicle with revoked plates at 12:37 a.m. Thursday on the intersection of US Highway 59 and Main Street, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - An attempted burglary that was reported at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of West College Drive is under investigation, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A traffic-related complaint was reported at 7:03 p.m. Wednesday on Saratoga Street, Marshall Police said. No report was in.
MARSHALL - A civil matter was reported at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday on the 500 block of Impala Court, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A gas drive-off of $49 was reported at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 1100 block of East Main Street, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - Check forgery that was reported at 6:32 p.m. Wednesday on the 900 block of East Main Street is under investigation, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - Theft of a bicycle was reported at 5:36 p.m. Wednesday in Marshall, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A lost cell phone was reported at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday in Marshall, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A suspicious incident that was reported at 4:39 p.m. Wednedsay on the 1200 block of East Main Street is under investigation, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A lost key and keyless entry was reported at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday on Country Club Drive, Marshall Police said.
LYND - A verbal warning for loud music was issued at 3:03 p.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of Willow Street, Lyon County Sheriff's Department said.
MARSHALL - A tree was reported broken at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of West Main Street, Marshall Police said. The tree was valued at $500.
MARSHALL - Yard damage, that was reported at 1:48 p.m. Wednedsay on the 1200 block of Evergreen Avenue, is under investigation, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - Harassment was reported at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of West Main Street, Marshall Police said. The parties were counseled.
MARSHALL - A 1995 Chevrolet was lightly damaged in a hit-and-run incident reported at 1:06 p.m. Wednedsay on the 1200 block of Patricia Court, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A black lab was taken to the impoundment center after an animal complaint was reported at 12:23 p.m. Wednedsay on the 300 block of South Bruce Street, Marshall Police said. The dog was later released to its owner.
MARSHALL - Harassment was reported at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday on the 1100 block of Birch Street, Marshall Police said. The parties were counseled.
LYON COUNTY - The theft of a license plate was reportd at 10:19 a.m. Wednesday on the 2300 block of US Highway 59, Lyon County Sheriff's Deaprtment said.
Accidents:
MARSHALL - A 2004 Dodge driven by Amanda Sylling of Marshall received light damage and a parked and unattended 1992 Ford owned by Sandra Sik of Marshall recieved light damage in a property damage accident reported at 7:28 a.m. Wednesday on the intersection of Southview Drive and South 1st Street, Marshall Police said.
MARSHALL - A 1997 Nissan driven by Ali Kulmiye of Marshall received moderate damage, a parked and unattended 1995 Toyota owned by Maria Hernandez of Marshall received light damage and a 1998 Chrysler owned by Carol Janiszewski of Russell received light damage in a property damage accident reported at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday on 601 Michigan Road, Marshall Police said.
Courts:
MARSHALL - Mitchell Davis Bot-Bowman, 19, of Mashall appeared in Lyon County District Court last week on two counts of assault in the second degree and one charge of assault in the fifth degree. Bot-Bowman cut a victim with a knife and the injury required stitches on June 13 in Mashall, the complaint alleges. The court found probable cause for the charges. Bail with no conditions was set at $75,000. Bail with conditions was set at $50,000.
MARSHALL - Lisa Marie Bonebright, 44, of Marshall admitted in Lyon County District Court Aug. 13 to violating her probation. Bonebright violated her probation by failing to abstain from drugs, court records said. Bonebright was reinstated on probation on prior conditions.
MARSHALL - Larry Allen Boe, 31, of Lynd pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Aug. 12 to a charge of first degree driving while impaired with the aggravating factor of prior DWIs in 2000 and 2003 and a charge of open bottle. Boe drove with an alcohol concentration of .17 and an open beer can on May 3 in Lyon County, court records said. Boe was sentenced to three years in jail which was stayed and placed on probation for up to seven years. Boe must serve 270 days, pay $1,212 in a fine, fee and surcharge and follow other conditions. Boe was sentenced to 90 days in jail on the open bottle charge. The sentence will be served concurrently. Four related charges were dismissed.
MARSHALL - Savanna Antionette De la Cruz, 19, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Aug. 12 on a charge of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree. De la Cruz possessed cocaine on July 26 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. An omnibus hearing was set for Sept. 9.
MARSHALL - Corywn Troy Peterson, 39, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Aug. 12 on charges of second degree driving while impaired-refusal to test, second degree DWI, failure to provide vehicle insurance, open bottle and speed. Peterson drove while impaired, refused an alcohol test, had an open bottle of alcohol, was speeding and did not have insurance, the complaint allegs. Peterson's lawyer Stephen Ferrazzano filed a tape of the alleged incident. The court took the case under advisement.
MARSHALL - Joshua Raymond Dempewolf, 27, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Aug. 15 in a probation violation hearing. Dempewolf failed to complete Sentence to Serve, court records said. Dempewolf was reinstated on probation and must serve 20 days in jail.
Dempewolf must follow all sex offender requirements and all prior conditions set by the court.
MARSHALL - A hearing was held for Peter Maurice Suggs, Jr., 31, of Marshall, in Lyon County District Court Monday. Suggs Jr. did not appear in court. Suggs is charged with interference with an emergency call, domestic assault and criminal damage to property in the fourth degree. Suggs broke a victim's cell phone valued at $400 while the victim was making an emergency call and while he was arguing with the victim on July 2 in Marshall, the complaint alleges. A warrant for Suggs' arrest was to be issued.
MARSHALL - Curtis Edward Waltz, 28, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on two counts of third degree driving while impaired and a charge of speeding. Waltz drove with an alcohol concentration of .20 and 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on June 4 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Waltz did not qualify for a public defender. Bail was set at $6,000 with no conditions. Waltz can also be released on no bail on the conditions he reappear in court, totally abstain from alcohol and drugs and others. A Rule 8 hearing was set for Aug. 29.
MARSHALL - Alan Ronald Dobrenski, 36, of Ruthton appeared in Lyon County District Court Monday on charges of refusal to test, fourth degree driving while impaired, open bottle and inattentive driving. Dobrenski drove while impaired, refused an alcohol test, drove with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, drove through a stop sign and into traffic on June 28 in Lyon County, the complaint alleges. Bail with no conditions was set at $6,000. Dobrenski can also be released on no bail on the conditions he reappear in court, be of good behavior and others. Joel Solie was appointed Dobrenski's lawyer. A Rule 8 hearing was set for Aug. 29.
