CANBY — Services for Lloyd F. Braucher, 85, of Canby will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Canby City Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by Birk Funeral Home of Canby.
Lloyd Braucher died Monday, May 12, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. Lloyd served in the U.S. Army from January 1947 to July 1948. He served his entire enlistment at the Madigan General Hospital in Seattle, Wash.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years Ella (Meyer) Braucher; son Robert (and Audrey) Braucher of Cross Plains, Wis.; daughter Betty (and Terry) Kronabetter of Hollandale, Wis.; five grandchildren: Jolene (and Jon) Cisler, Doug (and Kendra) Braucher, Chris Kronabetter, Jeremy Kronabetter, Jon Kronabetter; two great-grandchildren: Elijah Cisler, Samuel Braucher; two sisters: Mildred Koch and Dorothy Koenig; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Tekla Braucher, a daughter Linda Faye Braucher, and two sisters, Evelyn (and Ray) Kraft, and Eleanor (and Horace) Fairchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
