Canby-Minneota earns Camden softball sweep of MACCRAY

The Vikings (4-4, 4-4 Camden) won the first game 6-4 and the second game 12-3 in five innings.
Jodi Merritt got the win in both games for the Vikings. In the first game, she gave up seven hits, walked four and struck out nine.
In Game 2, she gave up three hits, three walks and struck out six in five innings of work.
M-C had 17 hits in the first game and 14 in the nightcap.
In the first game for the Vikings, Kelcey Citrowske went 3-for-4 with two runs and a double, Merritt went 2-for-3, Kate Petersen went 2-for-4, Nicole Prellwitz went 4-for-4 and Stephanie Boulton had a two-run hit.
In the second game, Citrowske went 4-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, a double and triple, Stephanie Rhea went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs, Merritt went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double and Boulton went 2-for-3 with two runs. Up next, the Vikings are at Edgerton Monday.

EDGERTON — Left-hander Maddie Robinson fired a three-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts Tuesday, leading Murray County Central to a 5-0 win over Edgerton in Red Rock Conference softball action.
Tara Onken and Alyssa Claar batted 2-for-4 with triples and combined to drive in four runs for the Rebels, who grabbed a 3-0 first-inning lead.

RRC/WWG 7, Adrian 1
ADRIAN — Audra Schmidt struck out 14 batters as RRC/WWG defeated Adrian 7-1 Tuesday.
Schmidt, the winning pitcher, gave up three hits, one unearned run and one walk. The losing pitcher for Adrian was Karli Meyer, who gave up 12 hits, seven runs (6 earned), struck out seven and walked one.
At the plate for RRC/WWG (6-1), Jenny Hoffman went 3-for-4 with a triple, while Kelly Shaner went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Abby Halter had a triple and one RBI.
For Adrian, Meyer went 2-for-3 with a triple.

Minnewaska 6, YME 0
MINNEWASKA — The YME softball team fell 6-0 to Minnewaska Tuesday.
The Sting (5-2, 4-2 West Central South) ended the game with three hits and two errors, while the Lakers finished with nine hits and no errors.
The winning pitcher was Kali Cordes. Molly Anderson took the loss for YME.
At the plate, Haley Bennett, Whitney Swenson and Ashley Vikander each contributed a hit for the Sting. Bennett hit a double.
For Minnewaska, Cassie Jacob went 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI.
Up next, YME hosts BOLD for a doubleheader on Thursday.
