MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — J.P. Macura scored 43 points and Connor Flack's bank shot in the lane gave Lakeville North the lead with 18 seconds left for an 84-82 victory over Hopkins in the Class 4A boys state championship game Saturday night.
Macura swished a fadeaway 3-pointer from NBA range at the top of the key to bring Lakeville North within 80-78. Then he pivoted out of a double team on the wing to find Drew Stewart in the corner for a 3-pointer that pulled the Panthers (27-5) within 82-81 with 22 seconds remaining that drew a foul, too.
Stewart missed the free throw, but Flack was there for the rebound and the winner.
Jacob Wright had the last shot for the Royals (30-2), but his 3-pointer was too long right before the buzzer.
