Losing respect for Seifert

June 4, 2014

To the editor: In my opinion, Marty Seifert should not have filed for office today (Monday). Sure, in Minnesota, candidates are free to seek endorsement or free to seek voter approval in a primar....

Seifert sold his soul to get the backing to be the next or one of the next governors. The cancer industry/big pharma own him now and he's just going to be their puppet. The tyrant fake intellectuals on the Dems side are just as bad and probably worse. Don't vote for either party because they are all minions of the establishment. The real candidates are 3rd party options. Vote 3rd party. Enough with the 2party dictatorship.

Both major parties are out of touch with reality. When they don't want the candidates to be chosen by the people they'd be representing we're all in trouble. No wonder a guy like Ventura could beat them both.

AnIndividual is obviously the newest Dbag in town, the very epitome of why people do vote democrat. The hate the prejudice the pompous self righteous condescending attitudes, keep it up, keep driving people to the dems!

Not to mention the sexy way they push through economic policy claiming to help the poor, ignoring the math, & doing the complete opposite! Ugh, so hot, so effective.

Keep. It. Up.

Vote Dem in 2014.

Rock on SELyonCo! I'm totes satisfied with the real leadership we have in MN. The faith-hating, baby-killing, 'stay out of my bedroom but pay for my birth control' route is the best route!

Marty has no name recognition outside of SW MN, which is why he wouldn't win and why he didn't get the endorsement.

Of course, until the GOP pulls themselves away from the lunatic fringe on the far right they are not going to win statewide elections in MN, so who they run is immaterial. Even if they found a centrist candidate the voters would distrust the GOP.

Until the GOP stops advocating theocracy, denying science, marginalizing women, demeaning the working poor, demonizing education, and selling themselves to the highest bidder they're going to come out second best.

I have respect for Marty, but I am losing confidence in the party to identify electable candidates. This is the same party that endorsed Tom Emmer, who could not win a statewide race in the 2010 Republican landslide elections. Every Republican who knew anything about politics understood he had no chance. It is difficult for me to see a Republican Governor in my lifetime with where the party is today--they are off message and largely disconnected with average Americans. Of the candidates, Marty was one of the few who could bridge this divide. I'm not seeing it with the rest.
