Willert built the high school? Now I'm really going to miss that guy.

Nice to see what the board thinks of the taxpayers in this district.

iPods for every kid K-12? Talk about a rat hole. And the children are to presumably bring them home for homework? Now every parent must install wi-fi in their home? $$$$. I hope a few years down this path we all remember the members of the school board that forced this upon us.

First emotional response from Dr Willert. Prior this he has been cold, insensitive, and disconnected. Oh but this is about him. He thanks his team, interesting as he treated them poorly. Why do you think so many left! Great opportunity for this community. Chapman should remember who approved the building of the new school! Many taxpayers rallied and held meetings about the new building. Give credit where credit is due! Disappointed in the short sightedness.

To be fair, wifi is not necessary, and most everybody has internet access at home, or has the opportunity to use a lab at school, or at the library. The school board cannot mandate homework to be completed this way if the opportunity isn't there.

With that said, the ipods are nothing more than a toy, or gimmick.
