And the legislators' comments reflect the minority view in the legislature. I hope the independent provides an article with the views of those who supported the legislation, maybe even of a parent who lost at child.

A one sided story with a couple of one sided ignorant comments already. Not every lid grows to be six feet tall with the ability to go all mike Tyson on his bulliers and letting kids be kids has led to far too many suicides. And local control is not an acceptable answer when local control begins to fail vulnerable students. The first two comments were way too simplistic,

I understand some physical cannot fight but just let kids stand up for themselves. Even if u lose, most bullies don't want a physical fight and if they see the kid getting bullied fight back, they WIIL back off. Get a punching bag or take a boxing class. When I was 22 I got jumped by 4 dudes I got hit once, knocked 3 out and the 4th ran. Very important that kids or anybody to JUST NOT sit there and take it. Stand up for yourself. No law or bill will take the place of standing your ground.

Im going to bet that this bill is going to be the cause of more bullying. 10X more bullying 5 yrs from now. I was bullied from 4th grade until my first week as a freshmen in High School. I wasn't just bullied, I was punched, bruised, had my bikes stolen, chased with spade shovels, held hostage by some kid with a compound bow pulled back and arrow pointed at me, pelted with shingles, made to drink urine, called names, blah blah blah. Im talking 10 different kids on a regular basis but up to 20 who messed with me at some point. This continued my first week of H.S. I put on some muscle over that summer and wasnt going to be picked on anymore so I grabbed the biggest dude a grade ahead of me, after he shoved me by my locker and I went Mike Tyson on him. He was 6'6" I was 6' and I did this in front of everybody. That was my anti bullying bill right there. I never got messed with again.
