For the past 40 years St Paul has stifled economic growth in western Minnesota. The warehouse tax is, perhaps, their most egregious example. If it is allowed to stand it will lead to more. As the worth of business in our part of the state declines political vampires like Dayton will seek to*****ever greater percentages into the metropolitan maw. Western Minnesota languishes. For this reason we would do well to support a candidate for governor who understand that Minnesota does not end 40 miles west of I 35. Make mine Marty.

Phemer, prices would go up, but competition fixes that. Westline is dead on. It's not solely about profit. If people don't like a business they are free to shop around, provided there's competition. In a gov't "business" you must accept whatever is offered. It's not freedom but captivity.

westline, As long as health care and insurance are for profit businesses the prices will continue to go up. That's what happens when it is about profit and not actually about healthcare at all.

A tax on a business, only becomes a tax on people, as it just gets passed down. Likewise, fees, regulations, and taxes on the health care system as a part of obamacare only serve to raise taxes even further for the people.
