Baboo. Sorry to burst your bubble but my comments are first hand experience. You would be surprised what is discussed in the teachers lounge! Inappropriate all the way! In addition Noriega is not experienced where MA-TEC is going. She is a Spanish teacher not someone with school counseling, job placement , or guidance counseling. Her real life experience is limited in the business world. If we want this to be successful let her teach Spanish but not lead.

What an ignorant comment TW. Noriega is not a gossip, quite the opposite actually. She is one who will quickly admonish others for speaking out of turn about students. She is the perfect lady to help these kids. A strong personality who is straightforward and honest with the students. Is she perfect, no, but she is a great fit for the direction that this school is heading.

What a fantastic tribute to hard-working students and dedicated administration. Thank you, Michelle Noriega, for all you do for the students! You are a class act and Marshall Public Schools is lucky to have you!

TW, What "labeling" did Noriega do exactly? What I read here were the students branding themselves. Admitting where you have been, for the students, is a huge step on the way to success. Noriega was very supportive in that regard. Don't see where she said something wrong.

Congrats to the kids! Shame on Noriega for labeling these kids. Personally. I know she is the gossip maker at MHS. Not a great assignment for her. Hope the future for MA-TECH will be less about the labels and more about supports and education. It will take a better leader.

I'm not a fan of state testing, but the question is still there. How well will these kids perform on those tests? Their performance will still be viewed as a part of Marshall public.
