the previous story talked about how there is a financial gap for maintaining roads, so instead of handing out more and more money...lets REALLY do something to help these people, lets teach them a skill that will allow them to become self-sustaining...perhaps some sort of apprentiseship program, teach them a trade instead of just handing them some money

There are too many people in Minnesota who are hungry, homeless, undernourished, in need of medical help, and struggling to survive. Would a higher minimum wage help? A farm bill that included a food stamp provision that would provide food for a family and keep milk prices affordable? Government supplemented health care so the poor could go to the clinic instead of the emergency room for their health care? Too many people want to ignore the poor and needy. I am thankful for those who are concerned and help those who are less fortunate.
