I'm thinking Yellow Medicine County could benefit way more from a new snow plow and related equipment than the big new money pit in their new (really dilapidated) office space.

Revenues under expectations and expenses over expectations and yet just a month or so ago there was an article about YMC looking to build a new courthouse for $8-$10 million). What? Hah? Commissioners of YMC, are you kidding??? The county's fiscal house needs to be in order first before any more space expansion or renovation!

So exactly why are the commissioners talking about a new courthouse? With the newly renovated bank which will house the auditor, treasurer, recorder and assessor. Who will be left in the courthouse? The attorney. Wouldn't it be more feasible to rent a office building down town for the court staff? I hope our commissioners put there heads together on this plan!!! And what happened to "working to create economic growth"in the county? If you look on the map Granite Falls is a small blip in a big county (and a large portion is in chippewa!!) let's look at other area's!!
