If anything Marshall needs to consider limiting poisons people spray all over their lawns that drift on to others' lawns and poison the soil and water. They could start by mandating no-toxic policy at the parks department. Oh, why? Cancer, allergies, asthma, hormone disruption. Google pesticides and lymphoma for just one illustration. Try beyondpesticides for more information. Please council do not pave the city with concrete and ugliness. Lawns are NOT healthy for the environment. Yoohoo councilors: lawns are not hip anymore. Your city planning ideas are outdated and unhealthy. Parks and yards should be full of native grasses and flowers, and food. This rich soil that we are supposed to be the stewards of should be tended to support birds, butterflies, and humans, not some warped concept of "chemicallawnheaven" and "getajobmowingforabaseballstadiumonthediagonal competition".

And they are worried about people growing vegetables.
