Oh I get it, our city leaders think we're just one sports complex away from being another Sioux Falls. A booming city where you can shop, dine, attend concerts, semi-pro sporting events..... NOT EVEN CLOSE!

4 more baseball/softball fields? we have quite a few already. 2 hockey rinks? we have one and it isn't open year round from lack of demand/interest? Dont get this one at all

Nice - a $16 million sports center project, a $7 million MERIT expansion, and a $13 million cancer institute – all at the same time. Money certainly does grow on trees in the fine city of Marshall.

I personally believe the sports center should be build for hockey and eliminate the dual-functionality of tradeshow or other events. Realistically, these are unlikely.
