This was an ugly game. Marshall missed some chances that were given to them by Fairmont, but the offense is really weak.

Ugly is indeed the word. Until we form a passing attack, our guys are going to struggle on offense. The passing attack too MUST find a few other guys who can get open & have an accurate pass thrown to. Rough night, but I still have hope as the kids are playing very hard.

After wacthing film, all SWC has to do to beat Marshall is key on #9 to run (cuz he can;t throw), cover #32 on sweep, and double cover #21. O-line is good, but holes close. No one blocks the backer. Receivers? Dont waste your time ciz you'll never get a pass except 21. Dbacks are good, but no pressure up front when you'r star gets double-teamed. Faster noseguard & faster d-end or go to 3-4 with big boys. Debore is double-teamsed anways. Linebackers are strong, but they'rs too short 2 see the play. 3-4! special teams are not special. Punter tries too hard. Coach needs to kick field goals. How can a good team get great when you only call 5 guys? Find a young QB who can throw. Build for the future. This year's a waste.

TWIMC1 If it weren't for daddy Marshall would still be the laughing stock of the SWC in football. Remember pre Bahlman years and be thankful for the mentor, leader, teacher we have. The best coach I ever been associated with in all aspects period. Thanks Coach.

Marshall isn't much more than the laughing stock right now.

It doesn't matter what the score is, how bad the odds are, or how uphill the climb is. A true fan always believes in their team. Go Tigers!

Well Farmkid I doubt they will get beat by any SWC teams. You can go almost unbeaten every year. Even Hutch has to reload now and then. I you don't think Coach is 1st class your are that word without the cl.

I agree with BigD and TWI. Bahlman brought Marshall to the top of the conference. However, when you wait until the last few minutes of a game that was well in hand at halftime to put subs in, you will eventually pay the price. We all saw this year coming, I can't believe the coach didn't. So many of the players lack real game experience & it's the coach's fault.

BigJohn no issues with the Coach's character, teaching, or leadership skills. Simply some decisions are affecting him now. Of my two kids one was sub used very little and the other played both ways, so I saw it from both sides. Just a perception regarding the current team.

Is it English that you're trying to speak?

To be fair, on a good year they'll go one and done in playoffs. Is Marshall content with that?

It's also a sad story how much attention the football articles have gotten vs the academic articles. It only goes to show where the interest truly is with people.

Any complaints about the quality of coaching is proof of idiocy. Down years happen with high school sports.
