OK farmkid, one time only - my mother was very proud of me. One of the qualities she passed on was to donate to good causes.

All right zip code, one time only. The "so what" referred to whether or not his mother would be proud, living or deceased; not the importance of her life.

When someone you love dies or talks about the deceased, do you say to their immediate survivors "So what"?

Sorry if you're offended, but I didn't make any poor comment to the deceased at all. I also didn't start this bantering.

We've got a great philantropic project going on and the community is rallying to support a bigger fight against cancer. Meanwhile, farmkid feels right to through out a spiteful comment to the deceased and her survivors. Please take your vengful comments elsewhere, it's not wanted here.

Awesome to see such wonderful giving and support from so many in southwest Minnesota!

So what? Honor the work she did and open your mind.

Too many friends and neighbors have come down with cancer here. Wish we could hear more about why.

Speaking of mothers, I'll bet yours is so proud. You learned how to handle differing opinions by acting like a five year old. You claim she was a teacher right? Too bad...

I'm guessing your mother had you and that was one and done.

Open your eyes al. This is trickle down economics at its finest. You just don't recognize it because a cause was helped.

Would it be too much to hope that you figured out what "one and done" means, and not post again?

You have a knack - or obsessions - with taking something good and making it a negative.

Well, well, well. Turns out my donation was made after all.

In addition to this effort it would be great to focus together on the causes of cancer and try to remediate those issues as a community: diet, exercise, environmental toxins, behavioral stuff. Then we could really make some progress on the cancer front.
