I have no idea how people will be able to pay their electricity bills if they go up 10%, let alone double.

As we found out with wind power, if it is heavily subsidized, it will fly.

Remember the same environmental folks that detest coal then come out against the necessary infrastructure to install windmill power and raise all kinds of delaying tactics so that the cost increases dramatically. What guarantees do we get against these folks?

Solar would be a joke this past winter. Take the North Shore and the Iron Range - this is very little flat space to even erect a solar facility.
