Bike Safety Day / Reuse a Shoe

The Lake Marshall Eagles 4-H Club is sponsoring a community drive/old tennis shoe recycling program May 5-16. There will be a booth at the Bike Safety Day. The public can donate shoes at the Marshall Area YMCA, Avera Marshall Wellness Center and Curves for Women in Marshall on any day between May 5-16. Bike Safety Day will be from 8-10 a.m. at the YMCA, and kids can learn the basics of safely riding a bike, pick up a map of Marshall's bike trails, buy a helmet at an affordable price, receive a coupon for a free bike inspection and enter a kids' coloring contest. The YMCA staff will start a family bike ride at 10 a.m.
