Bob's Big Band coming to SMSU

The sound of Bob's Big Band can be heard from 7:30-10 p.m. in the lower level of the Southwest Minnesota State University Conference Center. Bob Sorseliel heads up the 12-piece band. The event is sponsored by the SMSU Senior College. Senior College coordinator Betty Roers said the band's appearance came about as a result of the big band music class being taught this session in Senior College. Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 if purchased before May 9. Student tickets are $5. Tickets are available at Hy-Vee or County Fair in Marshall. Tickets can also be paid for by mail and picked up the evening of the dance. In an envelope, enclose name, address, phone, number of tickets wanted and total amount being paid to Senior College, Big Band Music, SMSU, 1501 State St., Marshall, MN, 56258.
