More cruddy weather
January 22, 2010 - Per Peterson
Looks like another “hunker-down” weekend is on the way. But at least we’re not looking at another foot of snow, and blowing and drifting. The main headache this weekend, it seems, will be a half inch or so of ice, which is just as bad, if not worse, than snow. Ice makes driving dangerous, has the potential to snap power lines and just makes life miserable in general. If you’re venturing out anywhere this weekend — and you shouldn’t; many events were cancelled early Friday already — drive slow and keep your distance from the snowplows — that sand they’re hauling around could save your life. And for those of you who are already sick of winter, don’t worry. Spring training starts in a few weeks.
