Swept Away

Rae’s broom story in today’s paper freaks me out. A broom at City Hall is standing up by itself. And it’s slanted. Not the story, the broom. Maybe the bristles are placed such that it can stand by itself, but the police chief couldn’t replicate it.

To make matters freakier, there were three brooms standing by themselves at City Hall Tuesday.

Can you imagine how eerie it would be going to sign up for a class at community services and having to walk around a broom that is standing upright by itself?

It’s the work of tiny gremlins, I tell ya. They are the ones that make you lose your stuff. They like to play tricks for their own amusement.

I’m going to try to make my broom stand up at home.
