| | Too Cool To Pass UpJune 13, 2008 - Cindy VotrubaAround 9:10 p.m. Thursday night, Shirley Przybys and I were coming out of church after our choir rehearsal. We had noticed the sunset shining through the stained glass windows at Holy Redeemer, but once we got outside, it was just gorgeous. Purples, pinks, yellows. It was just too cool to pass up. Now Shirley always has a camera with her. I surprisingly remembered that I had my little Sony camera in the Jeep. So I’m rushing to my vehicle, unlocking the door and grabbing it out of the middle console. Shirley’s already standing up on the steps and snapping photos. She wasn’t using a flash. I was. I thought mine looked OK with the flash. In taking a look at the ones I shot without a flash, they were blurry and a little out of focus. We were just in awe of how beautiful the sunset was. Of course all of our shots were from the steps of Holy Redeemer, but we managed to get a few good ones. I got the flag that’s between the church and the parish office/rectory. Wondering if I can tweak it up enough for the upcoming Schwan photo contest. I think it may fall under the category “Art on the Street.” Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
