| | At the Ren FestSeptember 14, 2009 - Cindy VotrubaSaturday was the first time I dressed up for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Yeah, I figured it would be hot, but I wasn’t too sure as it looked like it would rain as we were driving to Shakopee. I was wearing a black velour dress with lace on the end of the sleeves (actually the lace were the sleeves. It’s a pretty cool dress that I borrowed. The owner found it at a thrift store. It didn’t take forever to get off of 169. We met my brother in the parking area. He said he felt underdressed. To tell the truth, a couple hours into the Fest, I was ready to be “underdressed” in shorts and a t-shirt. It was humid. If you can see how humid it is, it’s humid. But we had fun, seeing a few of the acts, like Puke and Snot (had to see the replacement Snot; he didn’t do too bad), the Tortuga Twins and The Dregs. Ross and I saw the Dregs at the Siouxland Renaissance and he missed his chance to buy a CD. This year he did. And the food. Ross had the most out of all of us, having a turkey leg, a Florentine orange, a pickle, a chocolate macaroon. We actually stayed until the end, mainly because the Tortuga Twins’ last show ran long. Sure it was easy to get in, but there was a wait to get out. Such is Ye Olde Renaissance Festival. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
