A look back at Sound of Music

Marshall Area Stage Company’s “Sound of Music” had a good run that ended yesterday. And if you missed it, you missed a really great effort put on by kids and adults from Marshall and other surrounding communities, such as Granite Falls, Minneota and Tracy. In its 10 years, it’s definitely become Marshall “Area.”

This year I actually paid to sit and watch the performance with my brother opening night. Usually I am ushering or whatever and get a chance to pop in and watch it or I’ve seen enough rehearsals and really don’t want to see it anymore or maybe I’m backstage helping move stuff.

MASC had decent attendance for the performances, including 400 this past Thursday and more than 300 yesterday. Word must have gotten around.
