| | Gotta Love ABCMarch 3, 2009 - Cindy VotrubaI got home in time last night to catch the first part of ABC’s “The Bachelor — The Final Rose.” It was advertised that there was going to be a “surprise” twist of sorts. Heck, I didn’t know that three hours were going to be devoted to “The Bachelor” last night. It was 9:10 p.m., and the mood on the program seemed to be a bit somber. OK...what’s the deal? Apparently, the Bachelor, Jason, had chosen Melissa over Molly in the final episode. But wait! After like, what, three months of dating, he realizes that the chemistry had “changed,” and that he’s been thinking of Molly all this time. And so the breakup plays out on national television. Melissa has a few choice words for Jason (those of you who watched it know what I’m talking about). Jason’s trying to justify why he did what he did, but he just came out looking like a twit. Then Molly is trotted out onto the set. The host Chris Harrison asks her how things are going and if she still had feelings for Jason. She went on about how you just don’t lose feelings like that. Um, it’s six weeks on a television show, but anyhoo. Molly said she did still love Jason. I was like, “hey, you’re in luck!” And so the happy (maybe) couple is reunited at the end. Boy did Jason and Molly get skewered on the Television Without Pity Web site. Melissa came out smelling like a rose as the scorned woman. And joy of joys, the fun continues tonight with part 2 of “After The Final Rose.” Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
