Marshall theater reopens!

Most movies you have to have a big screen to watch. “The Wizard of Oz” is so much better in a theater. I’m excited to see “Iron Man” at the Marshall 6 Theatre which is opening May 9 after being shut down for major renovations since March 31. I went to the theater today to write a story about the re-opening. Long lines to the concession stand, spilling out to the front of the bathrooms and blocking the aisles to the theaters are eradicated. Four registers are set up with plenty of space for people to stand in line or mill about waiting for their movie to let out. The high-backed seats rock and there are cupholders. No more putting your pop on the floor and knocking it over. The theater guy I talked to sat down in one and I walked in front of him to another seat and he didn’t have to get up or scrunch up to the fetal position to let me by. It’s pretty much like the home theaters you see in every “MTV Cribs,” only heh-heh, this one is bigger. Should be a nice comfortable place for chomping on popcorn and losing yourself in a world where a wealthy industrialist creates his own costume out of “power armor” and fights crime.
