| | Older before my timeOctober 16, 2008 - Cindy VotrubaNow I am one who likes to save money. I comb the clearance racks at ShopKo and get great finds at Goodwill to add to my wardrobe. I love using my Marshall High School Music Boosters to save three extra cents a gallon of gas at Hy-Vee gas. But yesterday, I got the senior citizen discount at Hy-Vee. There are days when I feel like I'm 65, but in actuality, I'm only 36 years old. Every Wednesday, seniors get an extra 5 percent off their purchase at Hy-Vee. I picked up a few groceries last night and I was looking at the screen as the checker rung me up. He then added the discount. I'm like "I'm quite a few years away from worrying about this." He said he gave it to those who looked "close" to the required age. OK, I was wearing my glasses and maybe my hair was a little sloppy, but I don't think I looked that bad. But anyways, I saved 48 cents! Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
