Sometimes cool things happen

July 17, 2012 - Karin Elton
On the newswire today is a cool story — "A Texas man whose prized sports car was stolen 42 years ago recovered the vehicle in California after spotting it on eBay, authorities said Sunday. Robert Russell told the Los Angeles County sheriff's officials that he had never given up searching for the 1967 Austin-Healey after it was stolen from his Philadelphia home in 1970."

It had been stolen one day after he bought it. In a side note, the report said he bought it for $3,000 and it is now worth $23,000. A nice profit and he didn't even have to pay storage fees.

The above story reminds me of the story I wrote about a young Marshall man who recovered his beloved custom bike that had been stolen years ago. His grandmother had spotted it in a photograph that I took of a man who bought the contents of an abandoned storage locker.
