| | Pretrash explainedMay 24, 2012 - Karin EltonA co-worker who monkeys with our photos in the newsroom recently explained what the folder on the desktop labeled “pretrash” was for. Every once in a while he tries to trash a photo and he gets an error message. He then simply drags the photo to the pretrash folder and deletes it later. I told him, “so that what’s what my husband does at home when he makes microwave popcorn. The plastic outside wrap gets placed — not straight into the trash can, but onto the counter and left there.” I am always so annoyed when I see that. Why can’t he throw it in the garbage? But now I see my husband is simply placing the item in pretrash. That is really good to know and I am not quite so irritated by it. But now I have to get him to take it from pretrash and execute the final deletion of the item. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
