I learned a new word today: “salubrious.”

I saw the word in the This Day in History column where an American general informs Congress that the state of Georgia is a valuable asset. Among the reasons were the “salubrious climate.”

To me, the word sounded strange in that context. It reminds me of the word “salacious.”

I Googled the word “salubrious” and dictionary.com says it means healthful.

Oh.
