I can hope

May 2, 2011 - Karin Elton
It feels a little weird to be happy about someone’s death, but it is refreshing to have some good global news for once.

I’ve been heartsick about all the worldwide tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and continuous wars.

I hope bin Laden’s death starts a turning point for the world and we'll get a flurry of good news such as: “Alternative fuel created — it’s low cost and pollution-free!” “New use found for corn syrup — pothole filler! Government to subsidize removal from bread, ketchup.” “Social scientists discover way to make teenagers listen to their parents!” “New pill manufactured that will make people learn how to punctuate without using the possessive ‘s.”
