Not only am I taking zumba classes at the Y, but I also tried kickboxing this past Tuesday. It was an hour-long class and I wasn't sure I was going to make it. I have to be the world's most uncoordinated person. Trying to do a kick and throw a jab in the opposite direction sometimes can be tough. But somehow I muddle through. And the instructor, who I've taken yoga classes from in the past (and is the zumba instructor) said she had checked on me several times during the class (and I was in the far back corner, closest to the door in case I needed to make a quick escape) and apparently I was doing fine. It was a workout and my thighs needed two days to recover. But I plan on going back tomorrow. I just have to give myself time to exercise. As for walking outside...boy are days getting shorter and shorter (well yeah, it is October after all). I had to jam on Saturday night before it got totally dark. Of course that meant being done by 7:45 p.m. At least I can now use the Y walking track.
