50 years

It was fun talking to Lois Novosad Wednesday for a story about her 50 years of service with Red Cross blood drives.

It’s amazing that someone sticks to something for 50 years! Plus she had four kids, worked as a nurse’s aide and volunteered for other organizations as well such as the Lyon County fairboard and VFW and Legion auxiliaries.

The coordinator for the blood drives, Larry Wieser from St. Paul, tried to tell Lois yesterday that she has been volunteering since he was in diapers. She said, “Well, you must have been in diapers a long time!” Because he is in his 60s.
