I learned about my heart condition after I turned 30. Same goes for allergies. After I had a consult for the first time with a cardiolgist, I broke out in hives. Turned out it probably happened because of the antibiotic I took for a bladder infection. Same thing happened when I took an antibiotic for an ear infection the year before. So I have two medications on my list.
Growing up, my family had cats. But they stayed outdoors. Ross has an indoor cat, a longhaired one. And the cat sheds. So there have been times when I'm at Ross' place and I'll get stuffed up, sneezy and have a runny nose. I've invested in allergy medication. Add dust to my list of allergies. My parents' house is a bit dusty and when I visited them last, I had a whole day where I was stuffed up and sneezy. Get me out of a dusty or cat dander-filled environment and I feel a whole lot better. Strange that it took so long for me to discover I had such allergies.
Now I'm dealing with a reaction my body had to a healing sunburn. My neck has been sunburned on three separate occasions this summer with the last one leaving me with a constant itch. It was determined to be dermatitis. There are days when I'm OK and there are days where I just can't stand it. Allergies, tis the season.
