Well that was an interesting weather weekend. Friday I didn’t get too concerned and didn’t go down to the basement even though we should have.
During Saturday’s tornado warning I did get a little nervous because it seemed spookier out. And I thought oh, maybe this is more serious because it’s happening again. I was just about to head downstairs but by that time it was just five minutes until the bad patch was scheduled to be over.
One of my daughters was in Wal-Mart with a friend during the warning. The shoppers were herded to the shelter area in the back of the store. They got cookies.
During the thunderstorm warning period, I fleetingly thought of going outside with my other daughter under a big blue and white striped umbrella and told her so. She said that was a dumb idea and I quickly agreed remembering lightning often accompanies thunder.
