Need a brew to get through the day

This morning I saw cars lined up, about seven or eight of them, patiently waiting for their turn. No one cursed the construction. No one counted the minutes. They knew soon they would reach their destination — the drive-up window at Bagels and Brew.

There they would receive a steaming hot brew, and perhaps a bagel, to get them on their way — maybe to sip while they loitered at a stop sign, the seventh or eighth car down, to wait their turn to cross the intersection.
