Finally, an end to the "AI" season

As I tend to spoil myself as to what goes on with some of the reality shows I watch (ie. who didn’t get a rose in “The Bachelorette” or got voted off on “American Idol), tonight was no different.

Even though I haven’t watched the “American Idol” finale from Tuesday, I read that Crystal did an amazing rendition of Patty Griffin’s “Up To The Mountain.” Lee did “Beautiful Day” by U2. But despite her best efforts, Crystal won second place while Lee took home the title. Hate to say it, but “Idol” is losing its luster. Sure Lee improved greatly during the season and I saw him as a dark horse early on, but he didn’t blow me away. And granted Crystal kind of had the same spin on all the songs she performed, but I tend to like that sound; the folksy, acoustic guitar.

I’m sure Crystal will be OK. Just take a look at those who didn’t win first place — Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson. They’re doing just fine.

And I have four hours of show to watch...
