May 16, 2010 - Cindy Votruba
Back in the 1990s when I had access to cable and MTV, I watched a show about a gloomy sarcastic high school student named Daria Morgandorfer. She had a little sister, Quinn, who only cared about being cute and popular, a clueless dad, a go-getter mom and an artsy best friend named Jane. Daria may have had a cynical view on life, but she was someone I could relate to. And finally, after several years, the complete series has been relased on DVD. Huzzah! It came out last Tuesday and Amazon had a pre-order price of $44.99 I contemplated getting it early, but thought I’d wait. I then checked the Web site after work Tuesday night and was astounded to see a sale price of $27.99. I had to take a second look, especially since the regular price is listed as $72.99. Score! And better yet, when I checked the price a day or so later, it was back to $44.99.
