No more plastic bags!

I don’t know about you, but I was starting to get buried under the pile of plastic bags in my house. We re-use them in the waste baskets scattered throughout the house, but there were still too many.

I recently bought a couple of black Wal-Mart totes and two lime green Hy-Vee bags. ($1 each.) They hold a lot of groceries and are easier to carry. No more glass items breaking the bag and spilling out.

In addition to having fewer plastic bags cluttering the kitchen and the handiness of the totes, the canvas bags are not plastic, not petroleum, and don’t fill the landfills, so it’s one more thing you can do for the environment. Now I sound like Sharon Root!
