Walking to the Boss

I probably should pop a new CD into my portable player when walking around the mall. Actually I probably should get into the 21st century and get an Ipod. But for the last month I’ve been making the laps while listening to Bruce Springsteen’s Greatest Hits. For some reason, the Boss has been kind of a motivator. Good moving tunes on the CD — “Born in the USA” (duh), “Glory Days,” “Dancing in the Dark,” “Thunder Road,”and “Badlands.” Kind of slow, maybe skip over these ones — “Philadelphia,” “Secret Garden,” and “Atlantic City.”

Since I’ve been doing the mall-walking thing, I’ve noticed some of the same faces. I feel like I’ve joined a secret society of mall walkers or something. And I’m the only one who’s toting a CD player.
