Marshall ACC is ‘your center’
So often we receive phone calls that we may or may not answer, which to some, may be confusing. The Center is the hub and host site to the LSS dinning program and receives guidance from the Adult Community Center Commission and valuable input from Marshall Area Senior Citizens, Inc. Below is a flow chart:
Following the chart is a brief explanation of each.
Marshall Area Senior Center (MASC) Board — Responsibility is to oversee the MASC membership and handle issues and programming that deal with this membership.
Adult Community Center Commission (SCC) — Responsibility is to oversee the upkeep and functions of the building. This group also works with the Area Senior Center director to establish the Senior Center budget and serves as the liaison between the seniors and the city.
M.A.S.C., Inc. Foundation — Is responsible for handling the endowed funds in such a manner as to raise enough interest to offset rent costs for MASC and programming costs for its members.
Adult Community Center Coordinator — Oversees the entire facility and handles all issues that may arise, with set guidelines from the three boards; serves as ex-officials on all three boards (non-voting), which provides the link for the coordinator to coordinate all happenings. The Adult Community Center coordinator is part of the Community Services Department.
LSS-Senior Dining — Responsible to provide a well-balanced, great tasting and affordable meals in a friendly community atmosphere, also delivers these meals to the homebound in our community.
