Liberalism: Another failed philosophy (but still practiced)

To the editor:

Liberalism: a desire to be free of authority. Liberalism is demonstrating the definition at the conclusion of our last election very well, as liberals riot and try to intimidate the electors of the electoral college.

Where did this notion originate? I believe that it was the second philosophy and the root of all philosophies since. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and everything seen and unseen, placing created man in the middle of the garden to steward it and commanded him “Of every tree of the garden you many freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat…” (Genesis 2: 16 and 17). In Genesis 3:1 Satan enters the garden as a snake and asks the woman, questioning God’s authority, “Has God indeed said, “You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’” After some debate the woman saw that the fruit would be “good for food,…pleasant to the eyes and desirable to make one wise… she ate and also gave to her husband..and he ate.” From that time until now man has been saying “Did God really say?” … “Marriage is between a man and a woman…, You shall not murder”…, as we kill 50 million unborn children just in America…, or did that sign really say Speed Limit 60 mph, holy smoke I’m a liberal or a sinner too.

What can be done about this rebellion against God? Nothing on our part like resolving to be a better person or thinking good thoughts as human history demonstrates by the countless millions murdered for some noble cause or some bit of gossip to look good. Liberalism runs deep in our veins, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ (the one whose birthday we just celebrated) died for us.” (Romans 5:). Our part is “…as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12).
