Tracy to lose mayor to judgeship

THUMBS SIDEWAYS:

Congratulations to Tracy Mayor Stephen Ferrazzano who was appointed to the Fifth Judicial District judgeship by Gov. Mark Dayton’s office. Of course, the Fifth District’s gain, but is Tracy’s loss. His last City Council meeting will be Jan. 8. According to City Administrator Shane Daniels, the Council will be asked to appoint mayor pro-tem Pamela Cooreman as mayor. That would mean Cooreman’s seat will become open and the Council will have to determine how to fill it.
