Michael Rummel

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Services for Michael Bruce Rummel, 58, of Scottsbluff, Neb., are at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff, followed by a luncheon reception at the adjoining Fellowship Hall. Cremation has been conducted. Memorials to the family may be sent to Brittney Rummel, 655 Lion Ct., Casper WY 82609.

He died April 16, 2019, in a hospital in Loveland, Colorado.

He was born Jan. 7, 1961, in Scottsbluff to Jean (Netherland) and Bob Rummel.

He attended schools in Scottsbluff and Omaha before moving to Marshall where he graduated from high school in 1979. Mike attended Southwest Minnesota State University before becoming employed by Schwan’s Inc. as a route salesman in Texas and Nebraska. He later worked for the State of Wyoming at Casper, Wyo., as an oil and gas well inspector. Mike moved back to Marshall several years ago and worked for Southwest Coaches. In Scottsbluff he worked as a bus driver for Western Nebraska Community College, transporting students to activities in Nebraska and surrounding states.

Survivors include: daughter Brittney Rummel, three step-children, Lori Frank, Johnny Rainbolt and Casey Armstrong, former wife, Sherry Armstrong, all of Casper; father, Bob Rummel, step-mother, Sandy Rummel; brother John Rummel, step-sisters, Lisa, Tracy, Wendy and step-brother, Randy, all of Colorado.
