REDWOOD FALLS – Mass of Christian Burial for Norman Rudenick, 96, of Redwood Falls will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, from 10-11 a.m., at the church. Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Redwood Falls.
He died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls.
He was born March 17, 1921, to Carl and Wilhemena “Minnie” (Dommer) on the family farm in Vail Township, Redwood County.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Redwood Falls; children, Harland of Blaine, Delbert of Rosepine, Louisiana, Joane Madsen of Redwood Falls, Kevin of Redwood Falls, Norma Balderston of Olivia, Susan Smith of Bird Island, and Joseph of Wabasso; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his sister, Shirley Froehlich of Murdock.
