Jerome Barstad

SLAYTON — Services for Jerome Eldon Barstad, 74, of Slayton are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Lake Sarah Baptist Church in rural Slayton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on today. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died Nov. 8, 2017, at his rural farm home in Slayton after a courageous two-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born Dec. 10, 1942, in Slayton to Ernest Christian Barstad and Ione Hazel (Carlson) Barstad.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Engberg Barstad; children, Jeffrey of Slayton, Kimberly Like of Leawood, Kan., Kamela Chicoine of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jade of Aberdeen, S.D.; 15 grandchildren; sisters, Erna Peterson and Barb Clevenger.
