TYLER — Services for Tommy Harold Faaborg are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler. There will be an hour prior to the service for family and friends to gather as well as a luncheon following the service. He died May 27, 2017, in the Avera Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler.
He was born Feb. 23, 1948, to Harold and Leona (Knutsen) Faaborg in Tyler. He graduated Tyler High School in 1966 and worked the family farm prior to graduation due to the illness of his father. He continued to farm near Tyler into the early 1990s. After farming, he drove truck for Schak Trucking and Bornhoft Concrete until he retired. In addition, he also assisted Craig Norgaard on his family farm for many years. Tom enjoyed farming, dancing, friends and family. He had a big heart and many friends. Tom was married and had two daughters. He was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Shelly (and Ryan) Hubbard and their children, Madeline and Luke, and Lori Paul and her children, Ella and Brityn along with his sisters Joyce (and Larry) Wyttenback and Marsha Holm including his nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Leona Faaborg and nephew, Ryan Wyttenback.
