Jeannette Drown

MARSHALL — Services for Jeannette “Jeannie” Drown, 77, of Marshall, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Open Door Assembly Church in Marshall (711 N. Bruce St.). Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at St. Eloi Cemetery in Ghent. Lunch and fellowship will follow the burial at Carlin Hall (Holy Redeemer Fellowship Hall) in Marshall. Memorials preferred to Open Door Assembly of Marshall.

Jeannie died suddenly and peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, Feb 22, 2017, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Jeannette Marion “Jeannie” Drown was born Aug. 18, 1939, on the family farm in Westerheim Township to Louis and Blanche (Rogge) Brewers. She graduated from Minneota High School in 1957. Jeannie was united in marriage to David Drown. To this union were born three children: Pamela, Patrick and Gregory. Jeannie worked for most of her career in retail. She worked for over 20 years at JC Penny’s and for over 20 years at Walmart. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following the Minnesota Twins. She enjoyed the outdoors, going on walks, gathering with friends and family, and taking very good care of her lawn and flowers. Jeannie was most passionate about her personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a longtime active member of the Open Door Assembly Church and was a passionate advocate of her faith to her children, family and friends.

Survivors include her children Pamela (and Kevin) Larson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Patrick Drown of Shakopee and Gregory Drown of Lakeville; grandson Daniel (and Monica) Larson; great-grandson Hawken; granddaughter Kayla Jean Larson and granddaughter Abigail Drown; siblings Robert (and Barbara) Brewers of Marshall, Wally (and Georgia) Brewers of Marshall, Daniel (and Lu) Brewers of Tracy, Veronica (and Daryl) Miller of Marshall, Celie Alder of Billings, Mont., Marilyn (and Dan) Gregoire of Marshall, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Marion, Louie and Jenny.
